Why You Should Smile More

Happy Friday Everyone!

One of my new years resolutions was to ‘smile more.’ I’ve come to learn that I might have what one calls a “Resting B!tch Face” That had to change. I’m actually a really nice friendly person, I swear!

According to Leo Widrich “Smiling stimulates our brain’s reward mechanisms in a way that even chocolate, a well-regarded pleasure-inducer, cannot match” hmmm… really Leo, even Chocolate?

Whilst I might not 100% agree on the whole chocolate thing, Leo goes on to say that “smiling reduces stress that your body and mind feel, almost similar to getting good sleep, according to recent studies. And smiling helps to generate more positive emotions within you.”

It’s also contagious, so the more you smile, the more others will smile around you.

Anyway, with all the craziness that is going on in the world I thought I’d remind myself, and anyone else, to smile more. It’s a simple thing. Plus, a smile is the most beautiful accessory you can wear, right Vogue?
